Seeing as this site is all about Joe, we thought it would be nice if Joe had a blog…for the brilliantly cheesy title, if nothing else! :-) And because we’re a democratic kind of place (user-generated content and all that), you get to choose what the blog should be about, so long as it’s vaguely related to multimedia, content or communications. Now, I’m not expecting you all to rush at once because I know how these things work: you need to see a few blog entries first, and then a few comments to make sure you’re not the only visitor on here, and then you might start to think about posting something. So to get this party started I’m going to tell you about something I saw on MTV last week. I was watching Pimp My Ride (I know, I’m so trendy it hurts!) and had to live pause and rewind the telly to double-check what I’d just heard. The guy getting his wheels pimped said something like ‘Man, have I really got a beat box in there?’ and whereas you or I might have said ‘Yes’ or even ’sure thing’ or ‘you hit the nail on the head there young man’, the presenter simply nodded solemnly and said ‘Church!’. I’m not kidding. I’m guessing that’s short for ‘God’s own truth’ or something, but I’d never heard it in that context before. Anyone else come across that one? Or have you got any other cool, street-talking words to share?? (please include the translation as well as I’m not that hip really!)
